Many of us suffer from the Fallacy of Unconditional Love, which is a childlike desire to be loved the way that our Mommies loved us when we were born. There is grief associated with the realization that we will never be loved liked that again.

You’re right on. Unconditional love is a fantasy.
Jesus. It never occurred to me that there’s a benefit to never having been loved in this way as a child.
Nothing to grieve and no expectations to recalibrate.
