I’ve been meaning to respond to your mixtapes for awhile.

I love listening to the soundtracks of people’s lives. You don’t just learn about them, you get to feel what they feel.

And the significance of a mixtape is something only a certain generation can understand. Making someone a mixtape was the ultimate statement of love as a 90’s teen.

One drunk night in a dive bar, I admitted to my grown up BFF that no one had ever made me one.

So she made me one.

She’s an artist whose day job is tattooing. One night, she brought me into the shop late and she gave me this and asked me to do a matching one on her.

When I look at it, I feel warm and loved.

Thank you for sharing Bonnie Barton. I enjoyed learning more about you.
